November 25 2007

We received cabin #2 the other day from Joe Y.
This cabin is a 12x10 with a 4 foot front porch.
It has the red tin roof and really looks good.
I think I will have the next few built with red or green roofs.
Looking for lots of hunters tonight and tomorrow at the WW.
Remember to come early Monday for the game, the bar seats go fast.
But we do have TVs setup in both dining rooms, so you'll still be able to catch the game.
The new driveway for the house is great... Thanks Craig S.
Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving.
Good luck to all the hunters for tomorrow.

Hunting season 07 is here.
We really had a busy night last night... for a Sunday.
Just want to say thanks to everyone that came in last night for the Steeler's Game.
Which I am not too happy about the Steelers losing either.
Wish all the hunters good luck today.
We will be opening at 4ish PM today, Monday.

We have new hats for sale, plus we have sweaters and hoodies ordered as well.
Let us know if you are interested.

November 16 2007

Not much new is going on. We are getting snow right now.
It started snowing late last night and we have about an inch on the ground right now.
DY came over this morning with some foam insulation for the vents on the house, but I beat him to it last night when I stuffed some insulation in the vents of the house. Now we just need to insulate the entire crawl space and we are set. Think I'll get DY to help me with that.
Talked to partner MJ today and he is going to try and make it up this way from MB.
The garage will be prep'd today and concrete poured tomorrow. After that, we should be getting started on the framing of the house. Ran into some issues with the design of the stairs, but I think we'll figure that out.
Still need to get the Whitaker up on blocks or ties.
Septic plans for the bathhouse are in the works and that may start as soon as Jan or Feb 08.

Last Tues we received the first cabin. We placed it down by the river for now, but this will be our largest cabin (the Whitaker).
We'll be fixing it up, insulating, setting it on railroad ties, and staining it. We have another on order, but it's a 12x10 and should be the size of most of the cabins here at the Wildwood.
We are really looking forward to hunting season the next few weeks.
We have reservations for many groups for Christmas Parties in December and are really excited about setting things up for everyone to have a great time.
I have been collecting wood for splitting so that come spring time we will have plenty to give to our new campers.
We broke ground on the main cabin 2 weeks ago. We are adding onto the existing cabin cause there is just not enough room for all of us to stay when we come up to visit.
